When I was five my Aunt Sherry got married and asked me to be the flower girl. She lived in Kentucky and we lived in Colorado, so I wasn’t able to attend let alone be the flower girl. Since then I have carried some serious resentment due to having that privilege stolen away from me. When I had my daughter Olivia in 2004 I made a secret promise to her that she would some day be a flower girl, I wasn’t going to let her miss out like I had. 

About three years ago I met a good friend of mine’s oldest daughter Ashley, and as time when on I realized she might be Olivia’s best chance. Now don’t get me wrong there might be other chances, but not while she is at a “good” flower girl age, who wants to see a 12 year old flower girl? Anyone? I didn’t think so. 

Well, now Olivia is going to get that chance and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it is for Ashley. I am so excited for their wedding and had the most fun yesterday with them.
