Pittsburgh Children’s Photographer | Ethan is 7

July 23rd, 2010

Last month my oldest turned seven. I don’t think that seven ever seemed so old to me until right now. It took a while to get out and get some pictures of him, but I am so glad we finally did it. I had a blast spending some time with just Ethan. He is so funny and chatty these days. While I was editing these pictures I couldn’t help but wonder when he got so big. Time is flying by and I am so grateful to have these pictures to always remember the seven year old Ethan and the fun day we had together.

I Love You!

So…. Today is the BIG day! Community Day’s is finally here and I am so excited to see the booth come together, and have an opportunity to meet some new people. Before I head over to with my car load of stuff I wanted to get Marissa’s pictures up! She is totally gorgeous and sweet as a can be. I ordered one of her pictures on a standout mount for the booth today and I just love it!

The summer before Senior Year in High School has to be one of the best times in life. Everything is full of possibilities and hopes. The world is at your feet as you decide where you are going. Dreams will soon be realized and lived out.

The summer before Senior Year in High School is a magical one!

Kelli is awesome! She started coming around the house a few years ago with Kaylee and we are so glad she did. Kelli laughs at all my jokes. Maybe that is why I love her, or maybe it is her awesome laugh, either way Kelli enjoy this summer!

Community Days 2010 | Cranberry Township, PA

July 3rd, 2010

It has been nearly 2 months since I signed up for a booth at our local Community Days. That 2 months has flown by and now it is exactly 1 week away. ONE WEEK! I am so excited and so nervous which is an interesting combination. Although, be to totally honest, nervous is the winning emotion at this point. I have been planning for months. I have lists, goals, and pictures in my mind of how it will go, and in 1 week all the hard work and planning will be realized.

If you are local, come by and see us! Our Booth is located across from the inflatable bounce houses! We will be selling petti skirts (in pictures) and raffling off a free iPad. If you mention the blog, you will get 2 entries instead of 1. And if you book a session on Saturday you will receive 5 entries to win the iPad and a $50 print credit!

Anyone out there who has advise, suggestions, or “don’t dos” please pass on pearls of wisdom!

Wish me luck!!!!!petti skirts

I’m Back | Pittsburgh Children’s Photographer

June 5th, 2010

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted. So much has changed in my personal life. We have moved AGAIN. We are now in Cranberry Township, PA and are loving it here. The children are adjusting well and making new friends, and as a mom what more could I ask for. Since everyone is adjusting so well it is time for me to start establishing my business here. I am so excited and have missed it so much!

There are many new and improved things that I have planned, and I am so excited about everything. I am rebranding and updating to a blogsite, preparing to turn my basement into a studio, and launching into the senior market. Great things are coming!

So I leave you with this picture of these 4 beautiful girls. I had a blast with them, and can’t wait to post about each of them.

Denver Children’s Photographer – Addi’s Sneak Peek

January 30th, 2010

Last weekend I got to spend a morning with this sweet little girl, Addi. She was an absolute joy! It is so fun to be around babies that are close to the same age as my Luke. Towards the end of the session she was looking through her moms bag and pulled out one of her shoes and then proceeded to take out everything else until she found the match! I couldn’t believe it, such a smart little girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Addi!

Happy New Year

January 1st, 2010

Having and making New Year’s Resolutions is under debate at my house. Brian says he is constantly trying to improve areas he needs to do better in, and therefore doesn’t need the new year as an excuse to grow and become better. I hear that, and agree with it to a certain extent. Except I like the idea of being able to close a chapter and move forward with a new fire lit under your butt.

So, here it goes a few of my resolutions, I like to add fun ones that I can easily keep to help me feel like I am accomplishing something.

- I want to run a half marathon. Well, to be honest I DON’T want to run at all, but I need to be healthier. If I can train for and complete the halfer once, then 3-5 miles a day after that won’t seem like a such a big deal. Or at least I hope it won’t.

- I am going to not allow the laundry to pile up! With four small children, me and the laundry have become frienemies (For help on how to deal with frienemies check out this eHow.com article).

- I am going to wear earrings everyday even if I am not going anywhere (See, something easy-peasy-lemon-squeezey ;-)

- Take the kids on individual monthly dates to a place of THEIR choice. I won’t try and convince them to go where I want to go, like Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory or Noodles & Company.

- BE CONSISTENT

- This year I have so much planned for the business, but the main thing I want to focus on is community and charity involvement. The City of Parker is a great place and I want to contribute where I can!

On a completely different note, Brian was disappointed I didn’t mention Ty Lawson, his favorite Denver Nuggets player in my last post. Since I aim to please here is Ty at the game last week, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Win-Lose

December 30th, 2009

Last Sunday during one 10 minute phone conversation I saw all my dreams come true. Well not all, but it sure felt that way! Brian’s mom called and said her fiance had 4 BOX tickets to the Denver Nuggets game, and wanted to know if we would like to join them. I said “sure that sounds like fun” and waited until he hung up with her to start screaming and jumping on couches (which may or may not have been like Tom Cruise on Oprah). I am a DIE HARD Denver Nuggets fan and have been my whole life. For most of that time the Nuggets have been, well … terrible, so now all these years later we finally have a good team and are winning and I couldn’t be happier about it.

This is Brian and I just after we got to the box! It had it’s own bathroom, can you say BIG PIMPIN?!?!?!

Since Kai my almost four year old has started taking naps again he stays up WAY too late, and always ends up watching the games with me. His favorite Nuggets player is Chris “THE BIRDMAN” Anderson, so I spent most the night trying to get good pictures of him for Kai!

Now to my favorite Denver Nugget! #4 Kenyon Martin, WHOOOOOOHOOOOOO K-Mart!

Lastly, a shout out to the greatest mascot known to man…Rocky!

Rocky - Nuggets Mascot

Well, the Nuggets didn’t beat the Mavs (I blame the TERRIBLE refing), but I sure scored, so I guess it was a win-lose!
